Just Thinking about Positive Traction

I have a 1993 U14T Mitsubishi 2wd and I believe where I have seen where some 4wd trucks have a locker in the rear axle so I just was thinking would it be possible to just switch the the center section in the axle I know the axle in my truck is just like a mini ford 9" rear end so looks like it would be a easy swap if anyone has ever though about this I would appreciate some feed back .Thanks

I think all the trucks like you speak of have an on-demand type lock. It is switched electrically from the cab. So I think that there may be more to it than that.

yeah I know some use a switch to lock the rear end I just thought some may have had a regular locker in them but thanks for the info
