2. Call your minitruck-driving friend for assistance.
3. Man-handle it in and strap it down!

The wheel/tire combo is heavier and the snow tires are wider, with siped tread blocks, which deform and add resistance. The 12" summer treads and narrow, light, and have minimal tread complexity... their rolling resistance is much lower.
Acceleration-wise, there's not a huge difference... but my top speed on the winter tires is ~55 MPH on flat land, where I could hit ~70 MPH with the 12" tires.
