My driver side mirror had problems staying on... Actually the stud mounts the screws fit into busted off, so if you screwed in the mirror, you could just pull the mirror off the screws. Screws stayed attached to the truck, mirror didnt... hehehe... So i got some longer screws and a washer and used the mirror holes as the pressure point, b/c the recessed studs had broken off. Worked great.... sure beat getting a new mirror...

I had a few replies right away for a passenger side mirror for my 96 Suzuki they wanted $50-$65 plus shipping. Is there anyway to just replace the mirror, the housing is good. Looks like the housing is one complete piece

I shattered the glass in the passenger side mirror this summer,The rear view and drivers side mirror got jealous and cracked in this last -35 spell...:(What the hay I don't need to see around anyways...Just stick my head out the window and look around.:frustration:

If you look in the one mirror you get the spider eye symptoms happening. EEeeep there are 30 cars in the lane beside me!

My favorite line from the movie The Gum Ball Rally covers this topic. The actor reaches up and rips the rearview mirror off and says "What is behind you is not important" :D

any glass shop should be able to cut a piece of mirror to fit into your mirror housing...then just glue it in after scraping the broken chunks out, they should just be glued in..I would love to find a pair of these mirrors if anyone knows where to get them

My driver's side mirror was broken when I bought my truck. After looking around and finding that the cheapest I would be able to get a new one was in the $50-60 and my housing was fine I called a glass place and they wanted $45 to fit new glass... so I rolled up my sleeves and got to work. First I made a template out of cardboard that would fit more or less perfectly. Next I went to a hardware store and spent $7.95 on a replacement mirror lens for a fullsize F150 and $3.75 on a cheap glass cutter. After tracing the template with a marker I scored it with the glass cutter and voila! New mirror! It took a little bit of extra work to get it to fit but once I put a bead of caulk around it you couldn't even see the nasty edges left by the glass cutter.
