Hey everyone, apologies if this has been covered already, I'm just heading out the door and needed some quick info - please tell me if this has been mentioned before. Are there crossover parts for the valve cover gaskets and camshaft seals? I've got a bad leak going and apparently this is a common thing with the Subs.

I used some Permatex Right Stuff to seal my valve cover. No word on the seal, but if I have to replace it and I find a suitable part, I'll post a part number.

Was yours leaking bad? How well did the Permatex work, I mean, has it been holding for awhile?

It had a pretty good leak going - not just a seep, there was some wash occurring.
It held up for about two weeks, then the engine blew up. :D
Right Stuff can be used to replace any gasket other than the head gasket. Works awesome.

Well, I tried some sort of gasket-swelling product and it slowed the leak down, though it didn't stop it. Finally found a mechanic who was willing to work on the thing, and he determined that the head gasket is leaking...:( Anyone done one of these? He's a little apprehensive since he knows nothing about the trucks, but he is still willing to do it if I can gather as much info as I can. Any input would be appreciated. Oh yeah, it's a '91 Sambar.
I recommend you find a mechanic that specializes in the mini-trucks from japan if at all possible. It will definitely reduce your stress.
