Where can I get a socket to remove the calipers on the front of a 1995 Sambar? I need a 5 pt socket about 17 or 18 mm.

I dont have my Sambar yet but this may be what you need. They make both external and internal "torx" sockets. They have six points not five though.

I went searching the internet found very little info on a 5 sided socket. I found that electric company's use 5 sided bolts, but that's about it. Perhaps a Picture of the bolt will help others in assisting you!

I found what I need. It's a 12.5mm pentagon socket. Have found them in United Kingdom. Haven't convinced anyone there to sell me one and ship it here yet. Still working on it.

looks like an inverted torx--got a handful in each of my tool boxes--- Canadian style wrench/socket eh!

Yep. Seems to be popular in the UK. Surely you'll find someone to ship you one. 12.5mm is nearly a 1/2" but no luck there in the US either. Good Luck. Draper seems to rule the market on this one.

Just a thought but have you thought about using some Vise Grips to remove the bolt and replace it with a Hex bolt when you are done?
