Hi. I did look on search first before posting.
I have a 2001 Daihatsu Hijet 4x4 with EFI. I want to get a set of spark plugs.. but I searched the motor and I could not find spark plugs, or wires. I see the fuel injectors, manifold, exhaust, etc.. but no plugs or wires... not even a distrubator.. ??? am I blind?

Nevermind.. I found them. Hidden very well. Not coventinal spark plug wires, more of a wire harness, w/clear little plastic boxxes.. Hmmmmmm

Neat-O
Coil on Plug setup. Us poor canadians wont get to see that for many years yet. (Unless we do a conversion)
No cap and rotor to worry about, but those are probably more pricey than the alternatives.

Yes.. definetly I was stumped for an Hr. Plug wires are just 3 small wires going to each plug boot from a wire harness. Looks like the wire harness comes from what looks like a CDI, or igniter.. like a motorcycle. At least I did get the spark plugs changed.. I thought since the truck was a 2001, and it only has 22,000 Kms.. I figgured I should change the plugs.
Spark plugs that were in the truck were NGK BKR6E... I installed Champions RC12YC. Gaps on the NGK's were .50 I set the Champions to .40

Interesting. I didn't expect it to look that much different from my 99.
Mine are in the valve cover.

Oh I see now. Yours has an EF-SE single cam motor. Interesting....
