Back when I built Suzuki Samurais, one of the first .. and most cost effective .... upgrades I did, was swap out the horrible SWuzi seats for something more better.

My Daihats Hijet is a great piece of machinery, but it [ and my *** ] really deserve a better "interface". The seat rails seem to be about 17" apart, the bottom section is about 20" from back to edge, and of course is designed narrow, for those tidy little oriental butts, of which I do not have one.

SO,
anybody tried swapping in any better driver's seats??

thanks

i've been considering it, but it's already such a tight confine, i was going to pull the seat frames and have them upholstered better with more bolster and padding. not to mention get rid of that nasty vinyl cover. i was stuck in traffic yesterday on the freeway it was 108* and the a/c only works well when the motor is revving... damn that vinyl!!

If you put a thicker pad in the seat bottom, how would you flip the seat to get to the engine?
