Just a bit of info, anyone needing u-joints, NAPA puj410 is an exact replacement for diahatsu u-joints. It is used in Diahatsu's, ford, and kabota. Hope this might help someone.

Jay, That is good info. I was looking at mine, they seem fine for now, but mine for a better word are stamped into the shaft. I've changed them on other veihicles when they were like this. The new ones just use ring clips to hold them in place. Is that the way yours was?
Thanks,
-Greg

I thought mine where pressed in also, however after looking at them closer, they do have a C clip. Kinda hard to see. Worked perfect.

Napa in Canada does not have them. The US numbers for NAPA do not work in Canada either for any parts.
I have ordered mine from West Shore auto 75 bucks a crack, pretty sure they are a vendor here also.

Wanna hear a dumb dumb moment. So I replaced the 2 in the rear and spent too much on U joints to boot because it was making a driveline noise when the clutch was pushed in and driveline was not loaded. U joints seemed fine but who knows right dry no grease? It was in 2wd. This was after a 2 inch lift.
Get it back together with my 230 lbs brother in the passenger seat and it is fine for a bit and then it starts making the noise but not as bad. Is the cvs? Input, output shaft? More wieght in the front made the angle of the joints not as bad.
Nope when I check it out it is the front U-joint it has a wee bit of play in it the noise was not coming from the rear it was from the front. When in 2wd & neutral you can spin the front shaft and it disengages the front axle. But I am guessing if you put it in gear you cannot because power is being sent to the front diff at all times. Did not check that out but it only makes sence now who would have thought you have power to the front axle at all times. The dodge trucks from about 2003 up are the opposite the axles never disengage the power from the transfercase sent to them does.

Yep that is the case the front driveshaft is always being turned by the engine in 2wd, 4wd or 4-lo. The Axle disengages while in 2wd.
