1987 4wd Subaru Sambar

Hello!
I guess I will be on this board now as my son has a 1987 Sambar. His mom bought it for him and I guess I will be doing the maintenance.
I am a mechanic so that should help!
Anyway, I have no info on this little truck other than its a 2 cylinder and 550cc.
I want to do an oil change and filters asap as well as some new tires.
Are these reliable little trucks? I used to own a Hilux Surf so the RHD is not new to me.
We don't live with his mother so I had no input on this vehicle. I see the newer ones are 660cc 4cyl.

Nate (nateisanas) has an '89 550cc. Seems like a pretty stout engine, and it doesn't feel any less powerful than my 660. :)
