Oh, hot diggity! I should get one of my dumbass buddies to buy that so we can go rolling three-deep with nateisanas, minitruck-thuggin' St. Cloud, MN. :D
ATTN hamradio: Buy this and put ATV registration on it. You can drive it on county roads and city streets. ;)

We checked it out. Total heap of sh*t... it was completely rusted out, wouldn't even crank over, and the starter was all marred up from hitting it with a hammer, although the guy told us they had been driving it around in the ditch. It's a 550cc 2cyl... the guy tried to tell us it was a diesel. haha
Nate offered $300, so the guy we were dealing with called his boss at the golf course... boss said no go, he's firm at $500. We told him to pound sand, and went up to Mystic Lake casino. Nate ended up winning enough at blackjack to cover the cost of gas. :D
Pics of the heap:

They had it up on the forklift like this when we arrived. I guess they thought we were going to load it onto the trailer, fork over the cash, and hit the road with minimal inspection. Clearly they had no idea who they were dealing with! :p

gumball - I think the wheels have the drums built in... the centers had that fan pattern, then there were about ten bolts per wheel holding to hoops onto that. It looked like there was just a big single nut in the center of the wheel with a cotter pin.

Just out of curiousity. What did you find that was even worth $300?

Scrap steel. :D
Frame wasn't really all that bad - most of the rust was on the box sides and the front fenders. Driveline was cool, too. Looked like it could take a bike engine better than a Sambar. :p

Green blur seen headed down the Interstate.....
Leads to impact zone at sharp corner......
All that was recovered was side cover off engine......
It reads - "Hayabusa":D

Yep. Hard to believe the guy wouldn't take $300. Bad move on his part. IMO. He must own the golf course. It may have started after you drained all the diesel out of it. LOL!
Cheers,
Greg

Pretty much par for the course. It's a 20+ year old vehicle in Minnesota.
