Anyone have a mini truck with tracks on it? We are looking into buying one to groom our snowmobile trails in Mass.,but want to know a little more about it before the club buys one.

If you type "tracks" in the search field you will find 43 threads that deal with tracks..........But, Mark at LibertyMinimog has them and has tested them on the sand dunes and in snow......

What is the advantage or disadvantage to having a diff lock with tracks. Is it neccesary to have one. What excactly does it do. Does it lock the front diff to the rear diff?

Sorry if I sound like a broke record - but, again if you use keywords "diff lock" in the search function you would find 173 threads concerning this. I think it would be a disservice to the other forum members to repost/rehash the definition of said "diff lock".

You also will find several threads in that search that discuss other subjects that may be of interest in your search for answers on this. Such as:

--choosing a truck, Limited slip diff, fulltime 4wd vs parttime 4wd vs AWD etc.

Prob this thread would have been better suited for the General section as this section is titled "Trails, Parks and more - Places to take your trucks in the USA"

Hope I'm not coming off as a Loose cannon evil mod (like Milt):D just joking Milt. It just makes it easier for everyone (at least me) if the info is in a findable category of similar info.:)......later, slim

I like your desert tracks, as it is one of my favorite enviroments and these days I dont find to many of them. Anyway, good job
