I just finished test driving after mounting Mits Minicab struts on my daihatsu Hijet and i have to tell you guys - its the best mod yet for my truck. The springs on the Daihatsus seem way soft for theit task and the struts (at least on mine) were sub standard in rebound feel.
I had to drive the studs out of the Mits struts and open the hoel diameter (offest aabout 1/4") to make them work with my 2 lift and mounts holes in the truck, but this only took a couple of minutes to accomplish.
after getting that part completed, i had to grind a little bit of width off the steering knuckle where the strut mounts so the mits strut could fit (approx 3/16" material removed).
Results are awesome - cant bottom the truck out now (well, i'm sure i could find a way, but i really put it through its paces and never once hit bottom).
I know their tough to get your hands on, but if you can happen upon a set, its wayyyy worth your time to switch over to them if you run a hijet.
