Anyone having issues with their truck running hot? Took mine for some weekend riding and got some mud in the radiator... we took out the thermostat and cleaned out some of the mud, but still noticed it running hot when trying to truck up some pretty hefty hills... any suggestions?

Check you hoses, especially the lower. It may be colapsing when the enine is reved resulting in no flow.

Yes, thats a major problem. As well, make sure the mud is actually out of tghe fins, not just off the top. You need to be able to see daylight through it.
You also didnt say what year. If electric fan, make sure its kicking it.
And as a bit of a bandaid or bonus cooling, a little Water Wetter can help.

It's a 95 Autozam Scrum. I took it down to the creek to do a little "washing" and to see how it was running since cleaning out the radiator (prior to your post). Thought I could cross what appeared to be a small hole and sunk it. :frustration:
So after draining the oil or the water from the oil, and trying to get the water blown out from every orifice of the truck, i'll be hoping my next post won't be quite so depressing...

By the way, the fan is kicking in, but it was shutting off way to early (temperature gauge was still showing hot). That's why we took out the thermostat - thought it was sticking.

did you open the bleed screws? There are 2 that ive found when i put a lower rad hose heater in. If you drianed the coolant and did not open these, you will have an airlock it the system = overheating.:(
