Need to find a left front axle and boot for a 91 U42T.
Understand there's a rebuild kit but it appears there's 2 different models and the mechanic said 'good luck' telling which mine was, order both....
Can you tell from the serial # which one, or does anyone carry the whole axle?
thx

If all you need is the boot, and the CV is still in good shape, use the smallest universal kit from CTC. Its a stepped boot (multiple sizes in step fashion), grease and clamps. I have used these for my Acty and my quad.

I need the CV too, the outboard side is going. Clunks when I'm cranked all the way over.

I was told by a friend of mine that he replaced the front axles on his mitsubishi u42t with the axles out of a yamaha rhino. He said the guy that was working on it said they were the same but i haven't seen it. The truck is at his deer camp but he said that it works fine. He did not know what model rhino that the axles were for. Like i said i havn't looked at it just going by what he said but it might be something worth checking into.

Bumping this thread as I haven't found anything yet. One offer of a used one so far, but my mechanic says the price is way too much.

Remove the CV and send it to a driveline rebuilder. They can have it rebuilt and back to you in about a week.
I had a set from a Renault Caravelle rebuilt in 2 days at a local shop.
