S81LP fuel pump diaphragm

Need the rubber diaphragm for fuel pump mounted on engine block behind #1 & 2 cylinder. Its a left hand drive truck, shouldnt make any difference whether its left or right hand drive. :frustration:

Made a few calls. It happens that Daihatsu doesnt supply that diaphragm any more. So I gotta find a one thats sitting on the shelf somewhere. Jeff @ Mini Truck Supply is going to see if he can pull the rabbit out of the hat though his contacts in Japan. The only other option is by the whole fuel pump.
Seems like I saw some lawn equip. that had these engines in them some where. Got any ideals? Any body know what size engines the Daihatsu Rocky/Charade had? Wonder if that fuel pump would be the same?

Let me check a motor I pulled out of S81LP because I installed S83P engine in it. It should have the fuel pump still on it. The truck was a left hand 2wd jumbo.

disman2,(southtexasminitrucks) You the Man. Fuel pump worked. I had to use your base and my top. The pump diaphragm in the one you gave me looked new. It appears that something in the top pcs. was bad. Couple of little valves and seals up in there. Anyway its working. Varooooom, he,he,he.

Glad it worked out. I have the deckvan all straightened out and the new corner tack welded on. Will send you some pics when I get it done.
