I recently purchased a tach (Sunpro model cp2012) for my 89 Acty HA2 and need to connect one final wire to the coil neg. for the signal. Can anyone tell me which wire on the coil is the negative wire? The coil is hard to see and grimey from road slush. Looks like as many as 4 wires lead to the coil.
Can any one help?
Mike
There are 2 plugs, one goes to the distributor, the other is +/-. Turn on the ignition and probe the +/- wires.

Robert,
Thanks, I remembered from the past, one side of the coil is hot 12v with the ignition and the other is not. I hooked up to the negitive and I was good to go. However, now I am getting ignition noise on the am radio. I think I will try replacing the tach lead with a shielded cable to hopefully stop the noise. Thanks again Robert.
