View Full Version : Air Filter
I replaced my air filter today with one I got from our local car/truck parts department. Here in Butuan City, Philippines and just about all over this part of the islands there are just thousands and thousands of these mini trucks. They are referred to as multi-cabs.
The filter I bought is a SGP- Air filter Part# 13780-79000 F5A. It also states use for Japan motors. It is called a air cleaner element. I suppose the SGP stands for Suzuki Genuine Parts.:rolleyes:
Hope this may help someone.

Under neath my truck where the air intake pipe goes into the air filter canister, there is an outlet that is connected by hose to the underneath bed of the truck were the air is received. Their is also two smaller pipes that go to the exhaust manifold were heated air goes to the air canister. Being I live in Butuan City, Philippines, and not to worried with cold weather and not to mention the hoses were no good, I removed them from the exhaust manifold collector. Were both of these hoses went into the air intake pipe (reduced to one hose by way of collector), I ran a new hose to the other side of the truck (drivers side) were you can receive air also, just like on passengers side and now both hoses receive air for the air filter canister. I can tell a difference in having more air for the filter, more performance by the truck breathing better. You can actually hear the difference of the sound of the carburetor taking in air. Well, it works for me and I hope this info could be of use to someone.
I will take photos and post next day or two.:cool:

I like that idea of two sources of air for the intake. Something I will look into for my ride, thanks.
Sure thing aeroshots.
I will take some photos tomorrow. One thing, when I attached the hose to the air intake pipe to the filter canister, I used a one and a half pvc 90 degree angle which slid over the extruding connector. From there, I used a 1 and a half to 1 and one quarter reducer and after a little filing the hose went over it. I secured all connections with tie wraps.
If you are anything like me a picture can say a thousand words. Take care.
