Washing an Air Filter

After much hunting and seeking and coming up empty for an air filter for my 3G81, I put a band-aid on the problem and blew out my air filter both ways with 130#. Then powerwashed it and blew it out again. I'm not sure if this reaches the height of buckeye engineering, (worthless nut) but I am kind of proud I may have bought myself a little time to find the right filter. Is there a Wal-mart or Autozone equivalent? I saw a K&N part# for a 3G83, are these similar enough to fly?

Richard, measure you air filter and compare it to the measurements on the K&N for the 3G83 and see if it is the same. You can also go to the K&N web site and put in the measurements of you filter and see if you can come up with a match.
