Big Daddy,

Where are you located? There seems to be areas where there are more dealers than others. I have tried selling as a part-time job in addtion to a full time job and another part-time job! I cannot make enough time to meet with all the potential customers that call. I get plenty of calls, my problem is making the time to sell the trucks!

Like JRinTX says, it all depends on what market you'd be in. You're certainly right about trusting someone with money. Go with someone who has references and a track record of exporting. Make sure you can talk with them and feel comfortable about the whole process. Any money lost is not good, especially hard-earned money.

Another thing to keep in mind if you enter the business: market research. Make sure you're making enough off a deal and providing a quality product. And, there shouldn't be someone around for at least 100 miles. That could be a comfortable distance between dealers (depending on where you are). Also remember, most people would pay a bit more for a quality item, rather than go cheap and have to replace lots of parts.
