Very cool looking. Unfortuantely, those tracks are way too narrow and that thing would sink into soft ground.
I'm digging the "towing mirrors" and step bars though! :D

Gonna have to call ya on that one. Even if they are only 6" wide (which im guessing they aren't)... They are surely at least 10' long. That's 10 Square feet of surface area (between both tracks). 1,440 square inches! that's still about 1 psi, quite comparable to any track system out there. Others seem to range from about 1500-2300 square inches.
If they are 7.5" wide, that would yield about 2160 square inches. not too shabby...
ugh, on second look... ok maybe they are only about 8-8.5' long...
looking at the front suspension, would love to know where what they modified to make the front drive axle drop that low...

o8k I'm with you .. the tracks appear at least 10 inches wide(pic is hard to tell)they could be wider...if they are 8ft long, they have about 1000 sq inches per side,if the truck with the extra weight is now 2000lbs than you are still at 1 psi

I want one. I like how they widened the cargo body. Going off my truck the overall track length is 6 ft my axels are 6ft from front to back. The ground contact area looks to be about 5 foot long. As for the track being too small I have operated mini excavators 30" wide and 4 feet long,in the track carriage. They weigh in about 2000 pounds. The cargo body looks to be widened by 3 inchs. I would like to know the top speed.

I'm Jealous... You would need some HP for those things. I dont think the 660 would handle those very well.

Hey all, we actually brought some of those in a couple of years ago. I am in Japan again in Feb-April and will probably bring some back again-if not at least the undercarriages. We can have them built for any size truck. Actually Stuff99 we installed one on a truck like yours a few years ago. On the kei trucks there is no problem with power-they are hydrostatic drives-top speed about 15 kmph-climb anything. If anyone is seriously interested let me know-tracked hydro truck is approx 20 grand Can$. BTW Stuff99 I have your fuel filter if you still need it.

they tracks may not be really "funcional" for stupd terrain.. but i think they totally have the intimidation factor!!

that truck is a "takkubin" which is a delivery truck. That's Kuro Neko, which means Black Cat. That truck must be up in Hokkaido or Akita where all the snow is.
