Is it possible to connect a four pin trailer wiring harness to any of the brands of minitrucks?

I realize I won't be towing over the road but I use my current work truck (F150) to check and troubleshoot the wiring on our fleet of utility and canoe trailers. It would be handy if I had the option.

Yeah you could wire it up to any mini truck. The only thing is
If you have a separate turn bulb from the brake bulb you have what is called a "four bulb system" and you would need to buy a small box "convertor" to change the trailer connector over to the standard "two bulb" system.

Most newer cars are "four bulb" and have a orange or amber turn signal and a red brake bulb.

You can buy those convertors at local auto parts stores or online at Norther tool. The convertor has the wires labeled and they are easy to hook up and are only about an 1.5" square.
