engine removal

Hello. I'm brand new to the forum. I have a 92 Sambar that the motor is shot in. Has anyone changed motors? How difficult is it? Also how do these start in colder weather. I got mine in October and it didn't start very well below about 35f. I suppose that could be because of the bad motor? Thanks.

Don't know anything about switching engines in a Sambar but, the day I picked mine up it was -22C and it fired up the instant I hit the key. Since then it's home is a heated shop.

Engine quite easy to change. Drop it down onto a floorjack, not up through the hole. Took about 4 hours to change first time I did it, probably faster next time.
