Choke adjustments

Has anyone had any experience with adjusting the chokes on the Daihatsu engines. I have an 89, 91, and a 93, and only the 89 seems to work correctly. The others won't run at high idle when cold and when I adjust the kick off valve screw on the left hand side of the carb, it runs high all the time and won't idle down when warm. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

hehehe, been there done that, daihatsu's seem to adjust better than suzuki's, I "played" with mine until they were close, sorry I don't know exactly what I did, just turn some screws, until something gets better, just remember, always, always, know where you started from with the screw so you can set it back to that spot, then just trial and error
