    Hi all,
I've joined this forum to get some advice...

I've been wanting a mini or kei truck for a while now and have finally decided to get one!
It will be a direct import from Japan to Ireland towards the end of this year.
Problem is which one to get??
Ideally i would like 5MT and 4x4. No younger than 1995. (cheap import, vrt, insurance and tax for vehicles over 30 here) I know all of them are available in that but can you help me narrow down which to go for?

I love the look of the Acty but not keen on it not being selectable 4x4. Does it make much difference to power, noise and economy vs a selectable or 2wd?
I like the Carry, maybe not as cool as the Acty? but lots of options, EL gear, diff & axle lock, H/L box.
Not really looked at the Sambar.
    Ruled out the Minicab.

It won't be doing motorway driving, just in and out of town, some light farm use and a bit of off road trails.

Which is better for servicing? I do all my own work.
Which would be better for resale down the line?
Which has more, or affordable accessories?

Budget is pretty tight, but I should be able to land something in Ireland with reasonable mileage for about €3-4k plus import duty and vrt.

    Looking forward to your replies.
    James

Welcome to the forum and Happy St. Patrick's Day! I can't answer your questions but as for me, my '90 Suzuki Carry dump bed suits my needs on the farm just fine.

Suzuki Carry for me. Parts seem to be more readily available. Use mostly on farm.
    96 Suzuki, 4spd, hi/low with diff lock.

Suzuki is the easiest to get parts. The Subaru is a non-interference engine but has known issues that can be addressed by a decent shadetree mechanic.
