I have been chasing a no start with this truck for a couple of months on and off. Thought it was carburetor, rebuilt and cleaned, nothing. Starter solenoid wasnt actuating correctly, had that rebuilt, nothing. Replaced spark plugs, no spark. So.. Must be distributor. I took off the cap and there was a tiny bit of moisture in there, and all the screws were rusted to hell. Going to be near impossible to get them out without stripping it seems. Why would there be moisture in here? and will I F-up the timing of this if i take the whole thing out to work on it? It's secured by two adjustable bolts so figure i will mark them the best i can. But I dont even really know where to start on testing this thing to see if power is at least getting to it. It doesn't seem to have that spinning rotor that i normally see in these... any help deciphering appreciated
Welcome to the forum. Do us a favor and edit your signature to tell us what make/model/year you toy is. The image is not viewable for some reason. Dizzy's need to breathe otherwise they can build up moisture from condensation and result in what you are probably seeing. WD40 can be used to dry it all up. Sounds like you are missing the rotor. I'm not a mitsu owner, so someone that knows this model should drop by eventually and help out.
