Hey everyone. I am an absolute newbie when it comes to Kei trucks, but I picked up a junkyard special '93 Hi Jet s83p, and well, it runs, but not very well. It starts very hard, and once it does, it has to idle high, and when I try to lower the idle, it chokes out and dies. Full disclosure, I do have that generic Chinese aftermarket carburetor on it. The one that is on literally every eBay listing when you search for a replacement carb. I've read through other chats, but none of the ideas listed seem to help. I tried adjusting the mixture and air screws, but it didn't seem to change anything. I'm out of ideas unless it has something to do with vacuum lines, of which this truck has about a million. If anyone has done a carburetor swap, I'd appreciate any advice. thanks
