I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I recently had an accident with a heat gun and my wiring harness in my cab located under the drivers seat. I've melted the shielding clean off most of the wires as well as melted one of the three 12V Relays. Finding a replacement wire harness is proving difficult. Is there a reference doc that matches up the color of the cables to the gauge of wire used? Or does anyone have a recommendation on figuring out the appropriate gauge wire to use? It would be AWG for me but if anyone has the After pulling all the melted wires apart: Close up of some: Wire colors in question: Yellow/Blue (red dots): Solid Black (silver dots): Black/Yellow (silver dots): White/Yellow (silver dots): White/Black(red dots): Blue/Brown (silver dots): Blue/White (silver dots):
Have you looked up a measurement to AWG chart? https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/working-with-wire/wire-thickness If you get a low cost set of calipers you should be able to check the size of the wire and match it to the correct AWG. PS. Should be core wire size after stripping the cover back. Good luck.
