Carburetor Identification - Help Needed

    Hello all,

I acquired a 1988 Minicab last year, and have been using it for short trips around the acreage and into town. Really enjoy it, but I've noticed it's running really rich. Very poor fuel economy (10mpg), it's "making oil" (fuel), and exhaust smells like unburned fuel.

See attached pictures. It appears to have a CV-style carburetor (which I'm not very familiar with); the previous owner told me that it has a "Harley Davidson carburetor", but there are no markings on it to identify it as actually a HD carb or anything else; my best guess is that it's a Chinese knock-off version.

I've taken the bowl off, and the inside of the carb seems very clean; the float and float valve all appear to be operating normally.

At this point, I'm looking for any insight into who might make this carburetor so that I can purchase jets for it to try to lean it out. I did buy a random rebuild kit for a Harley CV carb, but the float valve was a different size/diameter, so I wanted to seek out insight on who might make this carb.

If this doesn't work out, I'll probably be looking to replace it with a Mikuni, so any guidance on which model/size to use would also be appreciated.

Might be a Rhino CV40 carb but not sure. Do search of just the title using the word "swap" and see what others have been doing when swapping carbs for your truck.
