    Hi all
I went to work on my '98 Hijet and saw that the rear diff cover is wet and there were a few drops below it. I'm new to vehicle maintenance but learning quickly. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated.
    Thanks

I am not familiar with specifics on this repair, but as a general rule, it would be fairly easy.
Find what gear oil is needed to refill.
Find what gasket or seal would be needed.
Take the cover off and let the old oil drain into a pan.
Clean both surfaces before reinstalling the cover. Install gasket material.
Use the upper plug to refill gear oil. When it reaches that level, you’re done.
In the mean time, you could just undue upper plug and top off your oil as needed.

Any leakage visible on the front side?
Specifically, check where the drive shaft enters the differential.

If unsure, clean all the oil off with brake cleaner spray then check diff daily to pinpoint leak location.
