Hello, all. Shopped at Tokyo Direct and Top Secret in Durham yesterday (4/29/24) for a Subaru Sambar. I'll keep watching for a good one. I am impressed at how well engineered these small trucks are for utility purposes. I'll use mine on my small ranch in Chatham County. But, since I am a DIY'er, and general "car guy", I'll fabricate a custom winch bumper, light bar, air compressor, and add a train horn for safety (had one on my last truck - a great "safety" feature!) Until then, I'll enjoy reading about other's rides on this forum. Regards, Max-T
Go on up to Mt. Airy, NC. Mayberry Mini Trucks has plenty of Sambars to choose from, plus plenty of other brands. Check out his videos on youtube. (mayberry mini trucks)
Thanks Smokie... whish I joined this site eariler. I was in Mt. Airy on Saturday for a funeral. I would have stopped by. I'll contact them to see if they have a supercharged one in stock. The local "Top Secret" importer here in Durham told me they had two coming in soon.
Can't go wrong with Mayberry and they will deliver it for a very reasonable fee right to your front door. They have been in business selling these for a long time. He has a huge selection of all the trucks and even vans. Make sure the sambar is what you really want.
Tanks, t_g. I contacted Mayberry, but was surprised to learn that even with 250 trucks in stock, they had no Sambar with 4x4, AC and supercharger. I’ll have to keep looking.
I've watched many of Mayberry's youtube videos of new arrivals, and the only supercharged I've seen were automatic transmission. That being said, the automatics probably need the supercharger to overcome some of the power robbing auto trans. Good luck in finding it.
