Has anyone installed the mini4x4 HD double action complete kit? I got it with the 300lb springs and it rides pretty nice but the struts top put pretty easy. I also gained a fair amount of lift. Trying to see if I can get longer struts or if I'm going to need to cut the springs down.
When they are not hitting a bump or drop that tops them out they feel okay, as in they are not uncomfortably stiff. Obviously when they top out they are not nice.
Did you put new bump stops in? The old ones are probably so hard its like hitting a solid object. Bump stops are supposed to be pliable so when they get hit they slowly compress to keep the suspension smoother.
Yea the bump stops are fine, in fact I doubt these struts have come close to bottoming out. They are definitely fully extending though.
I'm going to try them on my rebuild this spring just purchased them last week. the kit with the 300 lb. springs
