    Hi Everyone.

New to the mini truck scene but have been a fan of them for a while. Started just seeing posts on social media and realizing how useful they can be and the novelty of them caught my attention!

I've been lurking on marketplace for a while waiting for a deal I couldn't pass up and about a week ago I came across an early 90's Suzuki Carry 4x4 for less than 2k and I jumped on it. It's a little rough and missing some odds and ends but overall seemed like a solid base unit to start with. It starts easily and seems to idle fine although it idles a bit high. It has an intermittent stutter/sputter at mid throttle when a load is on the engine that feathering the throttle seems to clear up momentarily. I'm assuming it's a fuel issue. I have fuel, oil, and air filters on order and will pull the fuel tank and flush it out when they come in and I'll change out all the fluids, oil, coolant, brake fluid.

So far I've only put new tires on the stock aluminum rims and power washed all the mud, lichen, and dust off it. It was used on a ranch from what the previous owner told me and has been sitting for years. I'm still in the early stages of cleaning, disassembling, and assessing what all needs replaced before I go down the rabbit hole of modifications. I'd love to add more storage and potentially convert it to a dump bed but to start I'll just be doing cosmetic work to restore it in the meantime. I'd also love to get it registered for limited road use but only having a bill of sale and the limited reading I've done on it sounds like that might be a difficult task to accomplish.

Looking forward to doing more reading on the site and learning more, I appreciate everyone's contributions to the site it's already been a huge help.

I was going to add a few pics but I'm getting a file too large to upload error although the jpeg file is only 1.3 mb

Figured out the pic issue. Here she is, a little dinged up, some surface rust, and missing some panels/broken indicators. I have an order in to Amayama I'm awaiting approval on to replace a lot of the missing odds and ends.

Welcome to the forum. I have a '90 Suzuki with a dump bed and it is great for use on the farm.
