    Hi all,

I recently bought a 1998 Honda Acty SDX, 4X4, 5-speed manual with radio and air conditioning.

I bought it sight unseen over the internet and the seller told me the air conditioning worked. In fact it does not. The little blue light on the AC button doesn't light up, and when I press it nothing happens. What are some good places to start troubleshooting? The seller told me "it might be a fuse", but I checked the fuses (at least the ones I think power the AC), and they were fine.

I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death, but when I searched I could find nothing relating to my question. Sorry guys.

    Thanks for your help!

So you can try directly activating the compressor for a short bit to see if that works. If it does then you can narrow it down to the circuit from the switch to the system. There may be a relay and also for AC systems they usually have a pressure switch (or 2) that keep it from running if the pressure is too high to low. If you are not comfortable doing AC stuff I would recommend taking it to good AC specialist shop and have them use the right tools to validate whats happening.
