    Default Military look Sambar

Im not done yet still looking for a lift for this truck so I make good clearance. this truck is a tank. I have so much fun with it out in the woods here is Northern Pa. the problem is clearance there are so many rocks. any ideas on how to raise this baby Id appreciate it. here are some pics. I have welded to the frame a 3000 lbs. winch and looking to put stronger shocks and spring so I can put a nice heavy duty bumper on it. any ideas?

    Default military sambar

your sambar looks great ... I'm jealous , where did you get those tires and did you have to modify the suspension to get your tires to fit properly ? Nice job rwb 31 , good luck with the rest of your project !

hello neller thanks.. the tires are 24 inch bearclaws. they are awesome. i have them on my stock rims and as of now no lifts or higher springs on it yet.. im looking into lifting it at least 2 " cause when im riding with another adult (me 200lbs and another adult at least 200 lbs. 400 is just too much) its hard on the front end. they dont rub or bang but i need more clearance. lots of rocks here in northeast pa. so im going to put on new shocks and 500 lbs springs with a 2" lift then weld a nice not to heavy push bumper so my winch has some protection.. the truck is alot of fun.. looking for that pinzgauer look. thanks again for the comments.. Rob

Snap we have to find out how we can stick full size tires under these babies. Get it off the ground more. I got stuck in mud the others day and had to winch myself out. The tires we just not tall enough... Pissed me off. Since i have bought a 3 inch for the front and a 2 inch for the back but have not put them on yet and im looking for stronger shocks. Anyone use air shocks?

I just put bigger springs on mine but would like to get some longer shocks in front so I have more travel on the suspension and than take out the lift. Where did you buy those bear claws I'm looking for something like that for my truck

I got some from summit racing, I got the info at home I'll post it later tonight or tomorrow. They did lift it by an inch. I don't have a lift kit on it yet still waiting for material to come in. Is it just the rear that pop or both?

Here is a link to the summit web site where i picked out my springs, can't remember if i went with 200lbs or 225lbs. That choice is up to you. Im not a big guy and so I didn't bother with the 250's but that is you choice. The one thing to remember is go with 8" spring length and you need 3"ID but i got the 2.5"ID and it worked, just had to cut a slit into a some plastic piece so that it would fit in the spring. Just be sure to take a tape measure and double check the length, make sure im not out an inch or two.

I did look at the rear CV joint and it does look a little hairy. I can see how people have them pop out on them. May have to approach this with caution.

Well we got the fuel filter on and oil change.. We also got the 3 inch lift spacers on the front. The rear is next, we will have to extent the cv joint pipe. The front looks great, perfect height for rocks. After the rear spacers im having my buddy make me a steel bumper and attach the winch to. So if anyone wants to buy the front plate with the tow adapter let me know i bought it for $159 and 40 to ship it so make me an offer.

Pics....... I got my 2" lift ready and will be putting it on this weekend, only gonna do 1" in the rear cause i am putting on a bump lift for my box so that will give me lots more clearance for a bigger tire and should keep it form looking to lopsided
