Default 14" Wheels for the Hi Jet

Ok i've worn out the search feature trying to find tire and wheel options. My Hi jets came with 23x7-12 ATV tires on them....................WHICH SUCK! They are loud, rough, not rated for the weight of the truck let alone putting anything in it. Anyways I can not find any 13" wheels that they don't want a ton of money for or are custom built in a 4x110. However I do find allot of 14" wheels in 4x110 anybody done this? How did it work out? I'd like to go with Snow/All Traction type tire that would ride well on hard surfaces but still do ok in dirt. Thanks

I have put 14 inch rims on my Mazda with a 2inch lift and the tires are 185/65r14 they did rub a little but i trimmed out some. You can get firestone winter force tires in this size.

I put 14" ATV rims with Nokian winter tires on my Deck van and really enjoy them! Maybe not the most cost effective option but I drive this regularly on the road and believe that its got to be safe. The size I chose was 155 65 R14's.

Thanks guys, yea as far as cost it seems like all options other than junkyard ones are costly. But I'm more interested in safety on the hwy than cost. It looks like to me that I could get away with a 5" backspaced UTV wheel in 14x7 with 185/60R 14's. They are 22.7" tall, 7.4" wide and should fit on a 7" wheel, they shouldn't require a lift at least I hope not. Tell me what you think, thanks!

I found a set of five 1979 Mazda RX-7 wheels on E-bay for $200.00 - excellent shape. And I got HanKook I-Pike 155/80/13 winter tires at CTC for $31.49 each. It does not come any cheaper than that. Just keep looking on E-bay or KIJIJI and you will find the deal that suits you.
I don't have them on the truck yet as I have to put longer wheel studs, but I can't see why they won't work.

I used 4x110 to 4x100 wheel adapters from Ebay 130.00 shipped. Then 4 Volkswagon jetta rims 100.00 and 185x70x14 tires. Had to trim fender some and need to take a little from door. Scrubs at one turning point with a passenger.

Forgot it has a 2.5" lift
