Default OMG HELP! 4WD does not work.

Hey guys no to chnge the suject but I realing need some help. my Daihatsu 1991 is giving me a real headace. The 4 wheel drive willnot work most the time. I have heard many things but mine will go in 4 wheel from high or low if you push the button. thst normal I believe. But the vacuum pump on the front axle will not move. Vacuum bottle
works fine put vacuum to either side and it will function. The soleno switches I took them apart clean them and they appear to work fine but they will not wsork with the button. Sometimes you can hit the button and watch the vacuume arm retract or extend
to activate the front axle 90% or the time it will not . If I lock the front in in four wheel drive and hit the button I got four wheel in high or low range. bu the front axle is still engaged. Please help!!!!!

    Default vacuum leak

I had the same problem on a 93 Hi-jet. Half a day later I found a a small vacuum leak in one of the lines comming off actuator. I went to parts store and bought new vacuum lines and replaced them . Good To go. If you bend old hoses you could see cracks in them. The old hoses were really cracked where it made 90 degree turns.
