So in my previous post I stated I was and still am having trouble with bogging of the motor once the engine heats up. I replaced the fuel filter and it was in VERY bad shape, however that didn't fix the problem. Mechanic seems to think its the fuel pump. Now, these pumps online are $200-$300. Can I use a small universal electric fuel pump from the parts house or is there a problem with that. I'm almost 100% sure its carbureted but if someone is certain please let me know. Thanks

Looks like they are all the same for:
    Honda Acty 2 Wire Fuel Pump HA1 HA2 HA3 HA4 HH1 HH2 HH3 HH4
it is a frame mounted pump, as far as I understand the original p/n is 16700-PZ3-013
see here by frame number http://honda.epc-data.com/acty_truck/v-ha3/27510/electric/23737/
I found here on a japanese auction site some pics of the pump where you can see the connector and the pipe/hose connections, might be good to see

Unfortunately I could not find the capacity l/h and the pressure, but I assume it has a fuel pressure regulator and the capacity of any fuel pump should do for this small engine. Hose connections: in worst case you could use a adapter to fit.
But check the fuse for the fuel pump now installed and then check what the non OEM have.

Here is mentioned: 78 accord fuel pump is the same

    This one is $195 for HA2 and 4 http://www.minitruckusa.com/cooling-fuel/honda-acty-mini-truck-electric-fuel-pump-ha2-ha4.html

select a 1978 Accord and then select fuel supply, they have some out of tank fuel pumps for around $50 including installation parts and connector, maybe that is cheapest.

Might give Jeremy at MINIBRUTES.COM a call. I think he had some after market fuel pumps that were priced right.
