I have searched and read numerous threads on idle/vacuum issues. My question is can anyone isolate my problem to one line. My truck starts and idles high when cold. As soon as it warms up a little, the truck idles down, but sputters and dies. Want to make sure it isn't a vac issue before trying to mess with the carb. I am totally new to these little trucks. Any help is appreciated. Rob
The vast majority of time it is vacuum but as you have found with the maze of lines, valves, thermo switches, etc. it's pretty much a hands on deal.Usually someone has crossed a couple of lines or one will leak or something like that. Most of us who have been where you are now would tell you that the carb is the last thing to mess with other than running some Sea Foam through it and I really like that deep creep formula before running the liquid through the gas.
