I just started to pull apart my 92 carry to install coils and lift, check bearings, brakes etc. I notice that the main nut holding the hub on is dimpled on the outside to prevent it from spinning off. Apparently these guys don't like pins so they dimple it. What is the best way to get that out? Knock the dimple out? Impacts and just straighten it out. Thanks for any help. I am a new guy and appreciate everyones talents on here
You can just tap it out with a small punch or spin it off with impact,I've done it both ways with no apparent ill effects but it's probably better to tap it out. It's a pretty soft lip on the nut.
