Here is a little package for my fellow Midgeteers... http://sirius.gogo.co.nz/Midget_II_Docs.zip contains PDF copies (japanese, but still useful) of 1996, 1997 and 1999 service manuals for the Daihatsu Midget II. Also 3 other pdfs which appear to be news/updates to the manuals. These came off an SD card I bought from Japan. Enjoy
Note that if you do a screen grab with the text you want (one or two sentences best), feeding that to http://www.onlineocr.net/ does a pretty good job at recognising the japanese text, then copy and paste that into bing translator or google translate (sometimes one does a better job than the other on various phrases so try them both if it's hard to understand). That combined with the pictures and you can find your way.
Great resource. Have you found any english manuals for the Midget II? Do you have one yourself? Would love to communicate with owners of Midget II's.

There is a japanese Service Manual pdf at https://en.daihatsu-club.net/model/daihatsu-midget-36#manuals I’ll try to split it into small chunks, let google translate it and put it together again. Does anyone have an owners manual ?
