What are the steps to drain and refill t he rear diff on a 92 dd51t? I am used to cars where you remove the inspection cover.

I removed the driveshaft, took the large nut off and removed the bolts in the front yoke cover. WHere from there?

    Thanks

    No man,
Just remove the drain plug at the bottom, let it drain out, put plug back in.
Remove fill plug in the rear, fill it up, replace the fill plug,

    That's all, very simple dude.

Yep, saw that this afternoon......after I pulled axles, removed member, cleaned gasket surfaces of the yolk and the diff locker and re-sealed and then re-assembled.

I think I never looked at the bottom because I have the box off and was looking at it primarily from th top which was convenient. Sometimes when you think you are doing good "mechanically" you are actually doing harm or heading her for a dead end.
