Odd behavior with the door locks, when doors are closed.

Discussion in 'Suzuki Carry' started by charlesshoults, Nov 21, 2014.

  1. I don't know if anyone else experiences this or if it's just something abnormal on my truck. If I'm driving the truck around with the window down, it's only natural to rest my right arm on the window sill as there is no arm rest in the cab. I have to be mindful to keep my arm far enough forward as to not touch the door lock. I've found that if I push down on the door lock while the doors are closed, I end up locking myself in. The plunger won't come back up all the way and when I try to open the door from the inside door handle, it pulls the plunger back down. The only solution I've found is to use the key to try to lock and unlock the mechanism from the outside until it finally resets.

    What the heck?

I've found that both doors do this.

Mine pulls back up to unlock it. Maybe need to pull the door panel off and have a look, maybe some crud or a bent wire or something.
