Hi, my name is Paul, Retired US Navy, living in the Philippines. A lot different scenario than back stateside. Here, the vehicles arrive as 'surplus' from Japan. 99% of em are just pieces and parts and the local surplus dealers rebuild them to whatever specs you want - pretty cheap labor here. I had mine built 2 years ago and got to watch the entire build from the moment they chose the parts out of the shipping container. If anyone is interested, I can send along the pics of the entire build process here. Mine is a combination van/pickup - locally referred to as a multicab. They chop the van and attach a pickup bed. Basically, they do anything you want. Overall price here was around $4000 and took about 3 weeks to build.

Paul welcome. I also was former Navy, 69-71. The PI is certainly a beautiful place to have retired to, I was there in 70-71. Saw your posted pictures, looks pretty cool.
Thanks Steven. I retired only 2 1/2 years ago. Still haven't decided if I'm going to hang out here permanently, but it's fun for now.
