Just got a '98 Mitty. I want to go to 14" wheels. So far all I see are ITP-112. Anybody found anything different. I would like an alloy but doesn't have to be. I also will probably paint them black. Is there a readily available car rim that works? I have a lift kit and springs on the way. Also needs some help on camo, but thats another topic.
Look at these:

I got the Konig 14x6, but they prove to be a little heavy and are slowing down my top speed. Just a warning for ya.
But other than that, I'm happy with them.
All the wheels on that link are 4/100 bolt patter, which works with subarus, but not sure what the other mini-trucks need.

From what I have seen, most Ford/Mercury 14" four lug wheels will work as far as the bolt pattern goes. You would have to check the diameter of the center hub hole to make sure your hub will fit though. I had a set of 14" mustang wheels that fit the rear axle just fine but the center hub holes on the wheels were too small to slide over my auto-locking hubs on the front axle.

I posted some info regarding 14" wheels & tires for a Sambar at the thread above. You might find something useful there.

Well I went to my little local salvage and found 2 sets of Mustang wheels. They do not fit. They must me 4X 100 or 110. Back to the search.
it might be worth driving the truck down there and buying just one, jack the truck up in the parking lot and see if it fits, then go back in and get the rest??![]()
thanks Milt, I just talked to a very large salvage about 50mi. from me. He said they are selling the steel wheels for minis like crazy. $100.00 for 5, He said they have very few if any alloys, but they are getting 35.00 each for them. Do you think the steel will be to heavy?
discount tire direct also has alloy 14" take off wheels at $35 each with free shipping. Their inventory changes but price seems to remain contant.

i don't think it's the rotating mass that slows the truck down as much as it's the larger diameter that "overdrives" the gears so much. it's like changing the gear ratios to higher ones. keep in mind your little truck has about 45 hp and only 45 ft/lbs of torque. thats going to be comprimised greatly by anything more than about a 5% change in tire size.
i played with this tire size calculator to determine what's best. i ended up with 11% increase which is too much, it's like taking off in 2nd gear from a stop light. it's ok below 100kph for keeping the r's down but on the hiway i find that it has trouble maintaining speed on hills.
hope this helps.

this site, in the thread above, helped me find the right tire size for my mitsu 165/60-14 21.78" tall, this tire fits in the truck with no mods. this tire is for the street, and with the wheel below stays under the truck.
milt is right...too big of tire will rob power at highway speed where these little trucks need it most.
here are the wheels i got...they are 14x6" +35mm offset 4x114.3 bolt pattern.![]()
