Where to buy a body lift?

I have a 1996 minicab and want to run 25X11.00x12 tires and need to lift it. would like to go with a body lift. Who sells them? Thanx

Technically speaking a body lift is where the body is lifted from the frame. As far as I know this can only be accomplished with a Subaru. All the other trucks are uni-body (Frame is part of the cab). If the lift uses a shackle, block or spring pack, or any combination thereof, for the rear it is considered a "Suspension Lift".

More like a 'drivetrain drop'....it spaces the engine, transmission/tranfercase and front differential down from the frame/cab. The rear suspension is your normal suspension lift, either by lift blocks, longer shackles or a re-arched spring added to the pack.

Ok so were do I get one of these drive train drops. I dont want the standard spacers for the struts as all I here is bad things about them. I would like to do this drive train drop.

It looks like they are putting some thought into their designs.

I have never done or seen one, but a lift like this is bound to put some stresses on some components, so....Buyer Beware!!

That being said I'd like to have the room to put some 27" rubber under my Mitsubishi. Just might have to leave it in low range all the time!!

I'm not sure where to get them. I bought a regular lift and modified it so that all the drive train components remained within service limits.

I have read bad things about the extreme lifts but they seem to come from just a couple of people. Who knows what the truck was put thru to make them fail? Seems that no one that has had good luck with something ever writes about it. Is there anyone that has had any luck with these?

I know a guy who is doing what you are talking about. I know that it is not the best for the trucks but he has it figured out on the Mitsubishi. If you would like his information PM me and I can give you his number. I don't know that he wants to get his name out there too much until he has more time to work on things (not his primary job).

While they attempted to put together a good suspension lift system, there are several things that could have done better and/or were not addressed at all. My associate has finished a well-designed 3.5" lift system for all Suzuki model years and is currently working on Mitsu's as well. He thoroughly reviewed the Extreme lift and improved upon all the design flaws that stood out through testing, etc.

A 4" to 6" lift is very practical on these newer trucks. The mitsi and the suzuki lifts are about the same level of difficulty to install. Both lifts require the front diff ito be blocked up and the steering shaft to be extended. How the rear is done is up to the installer. Either add-a leafs, shackles, or blocks or whatever combination of them. You can always just lift them 2" which gives enough room to add atv tires. I believe xroads import sells lifts for the newer suzukis. Like Greg, I bought one and modified it to suit my needs. I build them myself now, because I was not happy with the ones I was purchasing.

I cant seem to find the 6" lift from xroads do you have a link?

After looking at the site, I believe you are right. They don't have one for sale, but I would email or call Cory. I know they have installed them on trucks they've built to sell. I know they will sell you the pieces to build your own. The part that is the trickiest is the extension on the steering shaft. That is the part that does not lend itself well to a commercially available lift kit. The welding required, scares everyone. I would call Cory he will help you out.
