fake flashing alarm light

If you would like a little extra protection for your mini when it's parked,this is quick,simple,cheap.and the result is very realistic. Found a flashing led with chrome bezel mount on ebay (came as a set of 2 for 5 bucks shipped ) http://stores.ebay.com/newlightworld..They come in all different colours but red is the obvious alarm choice. Since I wanted it to come on automatically when the truck was switched off,but not be flashing in my face while driving,I decided to make it a floating ground. This is by far the simplest way to install anyway. Ran the red wire to constant + battery power at the fuse box.The black - was hooked to ignition switched power. With the key off the switched power goes to ground and the light flashes...key on and both sides of the light get + power and no flash. Took 10 minutes,mounted to centre dash between the defroser vents..lol took about 6 photos to catch it mid flash
