89 sambar oil filter

does anyone know what oil filter fits a subaru sambar 550cc Kt6? the oil filter thats on it now has JA-901 on it. i have been unable to cross reference this number on baldwin or frams website. thanks in advance, chad

surefilter.com says a 87-89 subaru sambar kt6 4x4 ( k23 engine) uses a sure brand filter # sfo4612. cross that to donaldson p90258 and a beck/arnley 041-8055. i couldn't get the donaldson filter # to cross on fram filter website but the beck/arnley did. it cross referenced to a fram ph3593a. suefilter.com had several years of mini's listed, if your hunting a filter for yours you should check them out.
