I recently purchased a 97 HiJet. The horn does not work. I took off the aftermarket steering wheel and everything looked okay.

Does anyone have any advice for how to get this working again?

    Check the fuses.
Find the actual horn and remove it.
Clean and check for an adjustment. Older horns have a screw. This one may not.
Use wire leads and connect to a battery to see if it will
    Function.
A little tapping with a hammer might actually help. But, be gentle.

My ended up being dead as well. I swapped it for a new one and it worked like a charm. I just wish I didn’t pick the one that was so meep meep sounding… haha!
